Have the same problem with the SqlBackupAndFTP Scheduler Starter service.
Running version 6.5.8.22232 Standard and want/need to run differentials.
Downloaded from other site the msvcr100.dll v10.0.30319.1, doesn't work.

Hi, Please download and install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package". It should fix the issue of "SqlBackupAndFTP Scheduler Starter". You can use one of these links to get it for your current platform: - http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=5555 for x86 platform. - http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=14632 for x64 platform.

The installation of the package didn't solved the problem, the service still doesn't start.

What message do you get when you try to start service "SqlBackupAndFTP Scheduler Starter" or run "SbfStarter.exe" from <Program Files>\Pranas.NET\SQLBackupAndFTP folder?

Hi, You can upgrade your license at: http://sqlbackupandftp.com/upgrade/. Please check if you can do it free. The other way, if you have V6.X and don't want to upgrade to V7.X, you can open " contact us" form, select your version, email and click at "Recover my license key..." link. After that you should get email with direct link to the latest release of V6.x. There is a fix of this issue. Please get and try it.

Got this on the System log and the service stopped:
The SqlBackupAndFTP Scheduler Starter service terminated with the following error: %%4294967295
|

Every time that the service starts it stops after a couple of minutes, this means that the differential and transaction log backups can't execute and this is very important to us.
Have someone had this problem and know a way to resolve it?

Hi,
Could you please get the latest release 6.5.11 from the same link and try it. There is a fix of service status when it stops.
BTW if you start "SqlBackupAndFTP Scheduler Starter" it should stops in about 5 minutes. This behavior is correct. All scheduled tasks are handled by "SqlBackupAndFtp Service". So all scheduled tasks should run if "SqlBackupAndFtp Service" is running.

Applied the update to one of the servers and scheduled differential and transaction log backups, will report the results.

On one server the jobs try to run but fail, on the other the jobs never run.
On both the full backup as a service fails but completes when manually started.

Same problem here. Runing it from the command prompt gives no error. I am runing 8.1.1 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise. /* FIXED */ My server did not have internet access (outgoing).
