Hello,

First of all thanks for this wonderful application that has helped me a lot.
I've been using it for a while now (3 years) in an old server of mine (windows server 2003 and apache, php and mysql installed separately).
That machine died and now I've installed it in a virtual machine (windows xp home and wampserver).

I updated windows and installed .net framework up to version 3.5 sp1.
I installed 7-zip, Foxit Reader, notepad++, HeidiSQL and Chrome... nothing more.

And I get the following error when I try to connect to the database:

If you can't see it above: Image

Since I have not changed the root account from wampserver, I'm using tcp/ip connection to 127.0.0.1 port 3306 and user root with blank password.

By searching Google for "error System.Transactions.Diagnostics.DiagnosticTrace" people talk about something like deleting or fixing the app.config file... whatever that is: here (GoogleGroups)

Thanks in advanced,

update: I tested in my Windows 7 machine and all worked well.

Seems to be an issue of either:
1) Windows XP Home
2) My instalation of Windows XP Home... even though its a clean install its on a VM

Please, check the machine.config and user.config. Along with app.config, those are the 3 that make up the config sections. http://msdn.microsoft.co.../library/8eyb2ct1.aspx.
Try to override the machine.config or user.config with a known working copy from another machine at the same SP/patch level, if it's possible.

Thanks for the reply.

I did not knew what those files were and where they were. After a search I found 3 sets... one in the .net 1.1 folder, one in the .net 2.0 folder and one in the .net 4 folder.

I decided to uninstall all .net frameworks and reinstall only .net 3.5 SP1 and .net 4.0.

Now its working.

Thanks for the help.
