Information we collect
- Registration details such as name, email address and time zone.
- Optional profile details, including company name and address.
- License activation data, including IP address and computer name.
- Transaction details processed by Stripe; payment card data is not stored by us.
- Website analytics, cookies and, when enabled, backup operation results in Web Logs.
How we use and protect data
We use this information to operate and improve the service, activate licenses, communicate service information and understand website usage.
Account data is kept in a protected SQL Server environment with encrypted backups. Passwords are stored as hashes and access is restricted.
Google services
You may authorize the installed app to use Google Drive or Gmail through OAuth. Drive access is limited to files created by SQLBackupAndFTP. Gmail access is used only to send job notifications; the app does not read or modify your messages.
OAuth tokens are encrypted and stored locally on your computer. They are not transmitted to our servers or used for advertising, profiling or unrelated purposes.
Email and cookies
Essential service emails cover account, support and product availability. Optional product and promotion emails always include an unsubscribe link.
Cookies are used for authentication and website analytics. Blocking cookies may prevent parts of the service from working correctly.
Your rights
You can update or remove account information in My Account or by contacting support. We retain data only as long as needed to provide the service. Our policy may change, but we will not reduce your rights without explicit consent.
