Sometimes, customers encounter an issue where their SQLBackupAndFTP license is unexpectedly removed from the application installed on the server. When this happens, the license may automatically revert to a free version, causing the loss of features you previously had access to.
In such cases, you might try to re-enter your license key to reactivate license, but you could receive an error message stating, “The license key is already in use by the maximum allowed computers,” as shown in this screenshot:
To resolve the issue, please follow these steps:
- Go to your “My Account” page.
- Locate the computer where the license is currently being used in the “Used by / remove license” column.
- Click on the icon next to the computer to remove the license from computer, as shown in the picture below:
This should free up the license, allowing you to reactivate it again on the desired server.
